Noogiefest Recap By: Stephanie Hoover

Thank you to Communication Student Society, Student Recreation Association, Student Human Recourses Management, and Psychology Club for banding together and making the 18th Annual Noogiefest another fun-filled event! Our two rooms were mentioned in the following Dispatch Argus article, “There was a spider room, a ‘Nightmare before Christmas’ room and a room for ‘Finding Nemo’ and ‘Finding Dory’” (http://www.qconline.com/news/local/noogiefest-celebrates-halloween/article_8da75814-3bf0-5992-83b1-3c4438ab2a77.html)!

With all WIU members either representing WIU, sea creatures, the flapper era, or Halloween Town we provided coloring pages, muffin-cup fish art, jellyfish crafts, Jack and Sally photo opportunities, and a chance to practice tossing bugs into a Boogeyman’s mouth -should anyone ever need that skill! It was great to see so many people from the community bring out their families and friends to trick or treat in the Gilda’s Club mansion. And if you were a first-time Noogiefester this year I look forward to the many more years and many more themes for you to partake in! If you’ve never gone to Noogiefest keep an eye out around the middle of October next year and get started making amazing memories!

For future sponsorships and collaboration please contact Stephanie Hoover at Raeliz12@gmail.com as I’ve been sponsoring a room for many years at this wonderful Gilda’s Club event!
