Dark was lively;
Light was quick;
Humanity hovered over the candle stick.
Black was living;
White was thick;
A human race jumped over
the fire that was lit.
Dark was lively;
Light came quickly;
The new generation ran from the truth
swiftly.
The old became new;
The new became dull;
The light bulb went out in civilizations’ skull.
A nursery like rhyme glanced at
our life’s expectations and
sheds light on what is missing
in the new generation.
Whether we hope and wish,
or we wish and then pray;
Only God knows the truth
of our newly born day.
Dark was Lively.
