Trustee Justin Brown is a student at WIU and is also our senior Trustee and the Secretary of the Board of Trustees. Justin is a person who keeps his word and is not afraid to make tough decisions. 

 In December, Justin Brown voted to ensure that WIU conducted a national search to name the next President of WIU. This was not an easy vote but Justin truly believes in equity and inclusion and believes that a search must be conducted to ensure that we have a transparent process in the hiring of our next President.

Justin always puts the students of WIU first when making his decisions and has demonstrated great courage and integrity in challenging times. I admire his strong leadership skills and am impressed with Justin’s courage to stand up and lead in this capacity at our University.
