Book Rentals:

If you rented books from the Western Illinois University Bookstore, you will be emailed a prepaid UPS label and instructions on how to return your rented books at the end of the spring semester. Due dates have been extended from the previous date in an effort to provide you additional time to prepare your book return. Students should expect to receive two emails in total, one containing a listing of textbooks you have rented and another email containing the prepaid return label ready for print.

Book Buy-Back:

Due to the unprecedented circumstances, this year the Western Illinois University Bookstore will be providing an online buyback option for any books you have purchased and would like to sell. The link for this option will be available on the WIU Bookstore website by the end of the semester.

Please note that this buyback option is being facilitated by a third party and not the WIU Bookstore directly. Be sure you do not sell any rented textbooks or textbooks you want to keep as you will not be able to get any books back after opting into selling through our online option.

Student Athletes:

All student athletes who are on scholarship will also receive a prepaid label via email to return ALL of your books, and any calculators, to the Bookstore. Do NOT sell any of your textbooks!

Summer Textbooks:

Summer textbooks will be available with free shipping via the Western Illinois University Bookstore website beginning in May.
