Mama Says Go to Bayside Bistro

As usual, Mama has been busy hustling and bustling about the Quad Cities. She is certainly taking advantage of this beautiful weather before the bitter cold sets in. In fact, we enjoyed a lovely lunch on the patio of a wonderful family owned business in The Village of East Davenport called Bayside Bistro. Since opening in 2018, owners LaTisha (Ms Tish) and Darryl Howlett have been whipping up fresh and unique food from scratch.  They don’t stop there, they also make espresso drinks and smoothies made from fresh fruit. With a menu full of their customer favorites and ever changing specials, there is something for everyone at Bayside Bistro.

Mama was hankering for a Pina Colada smoothie which hit the spot on this unusually warm November day. “So refreshing and not so thick and syrupy like some smoothies can be” is how she described it. She paired it with a Po’ Boy made up of shrimp, bell peppers, onions, garlic, sauteed tomato, and plenty of spice, so if you can’t take the heat…I guess don’t order the Po’Boy. Mama was very impressed and left full!     It is easy to see that the only thing better than their food is their customer service! After just one visit you are on a first name basis with Ms Tish, the whole Bayside staff truly treats everyone like family! So, all you college kids missing your family and home-cooked meals, stop on in to Bayside Bistro and give your taste buds a treat because Mama said so!
