I am back again with another piece on religion. We’ve all heard about Christianity and we’ve all heard about Islam. We know Christianity has to do with Jesus and Islam has to do with Muhammad. As a Christian when I read about the teachings found in the Qur’an, I am able to identify many parallels to the teachings found in the Bible. One could stand confidently and agree that Muslims and Christians worship the same God just because the teachings are similar and the expressions of reverence towards God are in line with each other. However, that is totally false!
Muhammad is a prophet and the the Qur’an gives him the same attributes as Jesus. The thing about Jesus is that God calls Him His Son. Jesus is the Son of God and just not a teacher or prophet. Jesus is also God. He is the visible image of the invisible God(Col 1:15). He is the one that teaches us. He is the source of truth. He existed before mankind was created. He created us(Colossians 1:16). Muhammad was just a man. Jesus was and is and will be God. Muhammad did not come from above only to ascend back to heaven. I just wanted to point out these truths, so that when you read the attributes about Muhammad in the picture below, you won’t be confused. One is a human the other is fully God.
