Spring 2021 Commencement Weekend will be held Friday, May 14 [5 p.m., master’s/doctoral students, Hanson Field in Macomb]; Saturday, May 15 [9 a.m. & 1:30 p.m., undergraduate students, Hanson Field in Macomb] and Sunday, May 16 [1 p.m., undergraduate and master’s/doctoral students, TaxSlayer Center, Moline]. Students will be able to attend the ceremony for their program at either the Macomb or Quad Cities commencement location, regardless of which campus they primarily attended.
Safety Guidelines
Graduates and guests are required to complete the WIU Daily Self-Check before arriving at the TaxSlayer Center (https://www.wiu.edu/selfcheck/) and are asked to monitor their health in advance. Any graduate or guest exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 must refrain from attending the event. All staff, graduating students, and guests must wear masks (no gaiters per TaxSlayer policy) for the duration of the event and are expected to social distance. Graduates are permitted to remove masks for the official stage photo.
Attire
You must wear the appropriate cap and gown. Commencement attire may be purchased through the WIU bookstore (http://bookstore.wiu.edu). Rocky’s Corner
The WIU -QC bookstore will be open May 10 -14 with special discounts available. Hours are 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Monday – Friday.
Gift Items/Flowers
Gift items or flowers will not be available at the TaxSlayer Center.
